They’re here, they’re helpful, and … prepare to use them properly, safely

Apple‘s AirTags are finally here, and they are selling like mini-hotcakes. Soon you will find a need for one or more, or you will come across someone who is using one and you may get to experience how they work firsthand or by watching others. Apple has, of course, taken advanced precautions and plans to protect your privacy and limit the use of AirTags being used maliciously to track someone else. But knowledge is a form of protection, too, so do familiarize yourself with how they work, and the pros and cons.
