Apple demonstrated just how valuable its loyal Apple Users Groups (MUGs) are — and especially those in Oregon — by making a cash donation of 50 million dollars today to the statewide Oregon MacPioneers User Group (OMUG).
“I was stunned when Tim Cook phoned me earlier today and gave me the news,“ said OMUG founder and president Steve.
”I mean, finally, we are given a direct acknowledgment of all the loyal members in all the Apple user groups across the country and around the world that buy Apple products, and evangelize them,” said Steve.
In the spirit and purpose of the Oregon MacPioneers User Group, OMUG will be sharing the gift with all other active MUGs in Oregon. We wanted to make sure that these funds help enhance and grow each of our Oregon MUGs, so we are proud to share $100 with each group.
The remainder of the donation will be used by OMUG to purchase as many SCSI terminators as can be found across the nation or around the world.
“It’s hard to find those little puppies now, but we will search all ends of the earth for them because many of our groups are in such dire need of them, especially PMUG,“ said Steve.
