Adobe co-founder John Warnock dies at age 82
Warnock helped launch the technology company Adobe in 1982 — a company whose first big hit was PostScript, which became the leading standard for display and printer technology in the early 80s, and became a large factor in Apple’s LaserWriter printers (and NeXT’s monitors).
Adobe later created the standard for PDF documents with Adobe Reader, and then bought up Aldus PageMaker, the leading page-layout and desktop publishing software of that era.
